Way Truth Life (Three)— The Direction of Life
During meditation, first relax our bodies, and then we can use breathing to relax our Heart Chakra.
Our human body has three main channels: the central channel, left channel, and right channel. The central channel is located in the middle of the body, and the left and right channels are connected to the two nostrils. These three channels are parallel and connect to each other at the lower dantian, like a trident.
There are seven chakras in the central channel. Taoism mainly talks about three chakras: the upper dantian, lower dantian, and middle dantian. The upper dantian is located between the eyebrows, while the middle dantian is located at the heart chakra, approximately at the "CV 17" acupoint. Nowadays, due to various pressures from the environment, we often experience a blockage in the heart chakra, and feel tight in the chest. This can cause problems with the heart and lungs. As a result, when inhaling, we may feel blocked in the middle dantian and that the breath cannot go down. In our daily lives, we may also feel short of breath.
Now let's start with the first step of the exercise: upper dantian breathing.
Let's breathe. Breathe in deeply, and imagine that we are inhaling all the way up to the ocean-like brain. When you inhale, imagine that the back of your head is empty, as if it's not there. Inhale into the brain, which is like an ocean. Exhale naturally. This breathing exercise can quickly replenish the nutrients in our brain and prevent cerebral hemorrhage and cerebral infarction. Those who overuse their brains can practice this breathing exercise more frequently.
Now, let's move on to the second step of the exercise: middle dantian breathing. When inhaling, focus on the middle dantian. When exhaling, relax the middle dantian, which will relax your heart chakra and direct the air to the lower dantian. Focus on the middle dantian and take slow, deep breaths. When inhaling, inhale into the middle dantian and hold your breath for two seconds. Then, exhale slowly. Some people may feel warm in the middle dantian, or tight and blocked in the chest. This is normal. This breathing exercise can gradually open up the middle dantian, prevent heart disease, cardiovascular disease, and lung disease. It's also Healing.
