that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

God loves the good people, as well as the bad ones, just like the sun shining on everyone. He doesn’t only show love to the good people, but also to the bad ones.

 God has such great love for all mankind.

Here it mentioned several stages that are not easy to do.

It’s already difficult not to hate others, and it’s even more difficult to love your enemies.

 According to this requirement, only a few people can enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Without learning the truth, it’s almost impossible to do it by mere faith.

Therefore, Jesus will come again to tell us all the truth.

In Matthew 5:48, Jesus says "Be perfect." What does that mean? 

Keeping the Commandments can just make a passing score; loving your brothers and sisters shows that you have a good personality; while loving your enemies makes you perfect.

There are different levels of believers. Some can only follow the commandments, some can love their brothers and sisters, while some can love their enemies.

To love one's enemies needs great love, like that of God, which is very difficult to do.

However, when Jesus comes again, he will help us do this. He will tell us the truth and show us how to do it. In the New Testament, Jesus only talked about what we should do, but didn’t explain how to do it perfectly.
