Question: Pastor, Matthew 24 says, “For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” What does this mean?
Answer: whoever says “here is the Christ” or “there he is”, “there he is, out in the desert” or “here he is, in the inner rooms” must be false and deceiving. When the Lord returns, initially people cannot see the Son of Man, but can only see the lightning. Lightning represents the Light of Wisdom.
Lighting from the east to the west represents that the light of wisdom will light up the whole world from the east.
