Question: Pastor, why do angels fall?
Answer: satan used to be an archangel in heaven.
But he fell, and 1/3 of the angels fell with him.
The thoughts of Arrogance, envy, discontent and exalting himself sprouted in Satan’s life, which eventually led to his fall.
Therefore, as long as the sin of arrogance, envy, discontent and exalting oneself is not eradicated from one’s mind, the seed of falling is still there.
Once being tempted, he might fall.
Angels are not exceptions either.
If the sinful nature of arrogance, envy, discontent and exalting oneself is eradicated,
even if a multitude of the sinful nature of desire and hatred is not eradicated, one will not fall.
1 Peter 2:4 says, “For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment.”
