Gospel Q & A
Question: Pastor, did Jesus know of Judas’ betrayal?
Answer: Of course, He knew.
Question: since Jesus knew, why didn’t He turn away from Judas, or reveal him?
Answer: Jesus’ crucifixion was discussed and arranged by God and the Christ in advance. Judas is Jesus’ closest disciple and keeper of the money bag.
Judas was considered the best and most reliable disciple, that is why he was the keeper of the money bag. Since Jesus’ crucifixion was prearranged, why did the Christ sacrifice Judas and let the closest disciple end up in hell for his betrayal? This cannot show the Christ’s mercy, justice and righteousness.
Even for someone like Saul, who used to persecute Christians, Jesus won him over while heavenly light flashed around him. On the contrary, Judas is Jesus’ closest disciple. How come Jesus allowed him to betray, sin, and end up in hell, but not to transform him? In addition, how could Jesus, with such great wisdom and power, allow a bad person around him? 30 silver coins was not that much at that time.
If Judas was so greedy but nobody saw through him, isn’t it blasphemy against the Christ’s wisdom and power?
In fact, Judas was sent by Jesus. Only this makes sense.
It’s just like a show. God is the director, Jesus is the leading role, while Judas plays the bad guy. They are playing their roles.
Therefore, in the bible, although Jesus said someone was going to betray Him, He never said that Judas sinned and would end up in hell.
Judas is the first disciple who sacrificed his life for the Christ.
